Charging error nine (9) indicates a permanent battery fault. Remove the battery from the robot for at least 15 minutes, then put it back in. If the error persists, the battery may need to be replaced.
Note: Confirm that you are using an authentic iRobot® Lithium-Ion battery. Unknown charging errors can occur with aftermarket-purchased batteries.
