Charging error 8: All Roomba® and Braava® models

Charging error eight (8) is a battery communication fault. Your robot will not charge if it does not have a secure connection with the battery. Please remove and reinstall the battery to clear this error.  

Note: Confirm that you are using an authentic iRobot® Lithium-Ion battery. Unknown charging errors can occur with aftermarket-purchased batteries. 

If your Roomba® robot vacuum is still having difficulty charging, clean the charging contacts to clear this error.
